MCP A remote MCP server on your own computer
Connect ChatGPT, Claude and other AI apps
to your computer.
Hey Atu is a remote MCP server on your own Mac or Linux computer. Add it as a connector (https://heyatu.com/mcp) in the AI app you already use, and allow the app on the computer. Then just ask: it finds files, runs commands and makes edits there. You can switch it off at any time.
No new chat app to learn. It works from ChatGPT and Claude on your phone, too.
You ask in Claude. Your computer does it.
Claude or ChatGPT does the thinking with its own model. Hey Atu lets it act on your computer, with eight tools and nothing more.
Claude asks to use this Mac.
Code K7QD2M
Sample content.
Set up once. Three steps.
-
1
Install on your computer
Run one command in Terminal on your Mac or Linux computer. It installs Hey Atu and, if needed, Pi.
-
2
Link your account
Setup opens a page. Sign in with Google and check that the code is the same as in Terminal. No phone is needed.
-
3
Add it to your AI app
Add this address in your AI app as a custom connector or MCP server. Then approve the app on your computer.

- See every callYour computer keeps a list: tool, time and result. It does not keep the content.
- One command to stop
heyatu mcp offends every app’s access at once.
Claude and ChatGPT connect from their own cloud, so their tool calls pass our relay as plain text. The relay forwards them. It does not read, store or log them. The AI app’s provider sees the content under its own policy. Chats in the Hey Atu iPhone app (coming soon) are a separate, end-to-end encrypted channel. More: Security.
One subscription.
Claude & ChatGPT access on up to 3 computers, and the iPhone app when it launches. 100 free actions first, then a 7-day free trial.
Do I need the Hey Atu iPhone app?
No. Hey Atu on the computer and the ChatGPT or Claude app are enough. The Hey Atu iPhone app is coming soon, with Chats, To-do, Updates and Wiki.
Which AI apps work?
We have tested Claude (the free plan allows one connector), ChatGPT (Plus and higher; add it on the web), Claude Code, Codex, and Doubao and Qwen on the desktop. Other apps with remote MCP and OAuth may work; we have not tested them.
Does it work with Skills?
Yes. A Skill tells your AI app how to do a task, and these tools let it do the task on your computer. Hey Atu adds the tools; it does not add Skills of its own.
Which model does the work? Do I need an API key?
Your AI app’s own model, under your plan with that app. You need no API key. Hey Atu adds tools, not a model.
What if my computer is asleep?
Calls fail until it is awake and online. Your AI app shows an error and you can try again.
Ask from anywhere. Your computer does it.
Set up in a few minutes. 100 free actions, no card.
